Every month, Open Up Resources names a Teacher Of the Month in Math and EL Education. These teachers have all shown excellence in the classroom and exceptional support within the Open Up Resources National Professional Learning Community.
As a part of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would like to once again highlight the Teachers Of The Month named over the past six months. Each of these teachers inspire us, as do so many others within our community. We appreciate you this week, and every day of the year.
Take a moment to look at our past Teachers of the Month to see how they’ve made a difference in their classrooms. These teachers' work with EL Education K–8 Language Arts and Open Up Resources 6–8 Math makes them some of the most innovative teachers in the country. The EL Education K–8 Language Arts curriculum inspires a new way of teaching language arts by engaging students through compelling, real-world content to build equitable and inclusive learning opportunities. The Open Up Resources 6–8 Math curriculum inspires a new way of teaching math by transforming classrooms into “hives of activity” focusing on discussion, questioning, debate, and the deeper conceptual learning of mathematics that follows.
